It is one of the greatest cards of all time, if not the greatest seven-fight card in the sport's history. Turki Alalshikh, who has reinvigorated boxing in the last couple of years and is the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, announced a spectacular Riyadh Season card on February 22nd, 2025. Undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will meet in an immediate rematch from their first highly anticipated fight in October.
In the co-main event, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois will make his second title defence against former WBO champion Joseph Parker. Several bouts were rumoured to take place at some stage in 2025, but no one expected them to land on one card on the same night.
Alalshikh, has promised to lower pay-per view prices, "We will make PPV no more than 19.99 GBP in UK, and in the USA and the rest of the world, not more than 25.99 USD," Alalshikh posted on social media along with the unveiling of the full card. "We want the fans to be happy and enjoy it Lets get boxing great again".
Hamzah Sheeraz will take his first title shot against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames. Unbeaten former European champion Agit Kabayel will challenge Zhilei Zhang for the vacant WBC interim heavyweight title.
Vergil Ortiz Jr defends his WBC interim light middleweight title against the former WBA champion Israil Madrimov, who remarkably, has a fight scheduled against Ortiz's last opponent, Serhii Bohachuk on December 21st. Oleksandr Usyk versus Tyson Fury rematch on the undercard will be hoping to come through unscathed.
There is also a magnificent all-British light-heavyweight clash between Joshua Buatsi and Callum Smith for Buatsi's WBO interim title. The winner hopes to face the winner of the undisputed bout. Smith, who previously held the WBA and Ring Magazine super middleweight titles will be hoping to overcome former 2016 Olympic bronze medallist Buatsi.
WBC lightweight champion and three-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson will defend his title when he meets rising star Floyd "Kid Austin" Schofield.
